Personal life
Seth Green was born to Barbara, an artist and Herb Green, a math teacher in West Philadelphia. Making his teenage, a tensed one was his parents’ divorce. He found solace in Camp Harlam in Kunkletown, Pennsylvania during that time. His mom worked there as the art director for several years. Seth had admitted in an interview that camp was the place where he reinvented himself. He has Jewish descent and was later seen portraying a 1940s Jewish boy in ‘Radio Days’.
Seth Green made his acting debut in the 1984 movie A Billion for Boris. When he was eight, Green landed his first film assignment. It was a co-starring role in ‘Hotel New Hampshire’ and his co-stars were Jodie Foster and Rob Lowe. In the 1987 film Can’t Buy Me Love, Seth appeared as Patrick Dempsey’s little brother, Chuckie Miller. In the very same year, he was seen starring in Woody Allen’s ‘Radio Days’. In 1988, he appeared in ‘Big Business and ‘My Stepmother is an Alien’.
In a miniseries named ‘It’, Seth Green appeared as Richie Tozier. Seth portrayed Dr. Evil’s son, Scott on all three ‘Austin Powers’ movies. His next appearance was on ‘Enemy of the State’ and following it was ‘The Italian Job’ as a computer specialist. He was seen in films such as ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’, ‘Rat Race’ and ‘Without a Paddle’ etc. On the hit cartoon series ‘Family Guy’, Seth Green voiced ‘Chris Griffin’.
During the mid 1980s, Seth Green appeared in ‘Tales from the Darkside’ and ‘Amazing Stories’. He also made some appearances on the 1980s television series The Wonder Years. In early 1990s, Seth appeared in commercials, most notably as the window cashier for Rally’s Hamburgers. In 1994, he made an appearance in the short-lived series Byrds of Paradise.
In 1998, Seth was seen appearing on ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’. Green portrayed Daniel “Oz” Osbourne in the television series ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’. He also made an appearance on one episode in the first season of its spin-off ‘Angel’. Green has also been featured in roles on Greg the Bunny, Tucker, The X-Files, That ’70s Show, Will & Grace, MADtv, Reno 911!, Entourage, Grey’s Anatomy, and My Name Is Earl.
Seth Green is a co-creator and producer of the stop motion TV series Robot Chicken. Moreover, he has also done many voices on the show and has appeared in animated form as well. He has also appeared as a cameo in the Fall Out Boy music video, “This Ain’t a Scene, It’s an Arms Race,” and in Weird Al Yankovic’s “White & Nerdy” music video. During 2007-08, he made two appearances on ‘The Soup’ .He gave his voice to the character Joker, in the video game Mass Effect, released for the Xbox 360 and PC.
Seth is the producer of ‘The 1 Second Film’ and is also the co-creator of the comic Freshmen, published by Top Cow Productions. Green has also appeared in the current season of the NBC show ‘Heroes’.
